Aspirants’ should have passed the Class 10+2 exams from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Candidates’ should also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 45% in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics subjects combined. Admissions in Top Colleges are purely done either on merit basis or entrance test basis.
Various colleges and universities offer admissions to students through entrance tests. The entrance exams are organized at national, state, or university level by the respective authorities. JEE Main is a national level examination regulated by CBSE Board for providing admissions in B. Tech programs offered by top colleges of the country. CET & COMEDK is a state level entrance examination test and Private University, Deemed-to-be-University or autonomous university has their own entrance and all this entrance exam tests are conducted to give opportunity to deserving candidates. While some other institutions give admissions on the basis of merit list of the qualifying examination, for admissions in B.Tech course.
