Overview

B.Sc Agriculture / Bachelor of Science in Agriculture is an undergraduate degree awarded by Universities of Agriculture and Agriculture colleges. The course duration is 4 years. It is considered a “Professional” degree by the Government of India. This course is based on the semester system and includes a compulsory one semester of internship (Rural Agricultural Work Experience).

The main purpose of this course is to train students for improving agriculture productivity, manage products, and research activities for future developments. This degree helps one to know about agriculture and the methods and techniques used in the process of farming and related studies. The agriculture program covers many topics such as Agriculture Science, Use of Scientific Equipment and Techniques in agriculture, Soil Science, land Surveying, Water Resource Management, Animal and Poultry Management, etc.

Since our economy is an agrarian economy. The scope of this course does not diminish until we depend on food. Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification required for B.Sc Agriculture is 10+2 Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or 10+2 in Agriculture stream who have passed their examination with 50% marks from a recognized board.
