Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology / B.Tech Biotechnology Engineering is a very competent course in the engineering field. B.Tech Biotech is a very familiar course which has emerged in the field of science and technology. Biotechnology in engineering is a 4- year undergraduate program divided into 8 semesters which is amalgamating both life sciences, biological advancements in technology in order to study the micro-organisms or anti biotic to further utilize them for industrial process.
Biotechnology Is a major field which involves applied biology and scientific principles which involves the usage of advanced technology in the usage of living things in the field of engineering, medicine, technology and other sources. Biotechnology is a stream of which is a co-ordination of science and technology combining together to regulate new system in living organisms and other such things. B.Tech Biotech covers many topics such as micro biology, molecular biology, cell biotic, genetics and also technological subjects.
New technologies have been implemented in the industries which is now an emerging field of science and its principles for the advanced generation to effectively carry out those in many other industries. The most commonly used micro-biological techniques for DNA like PCR Polymerase Chain Reaction a technique used to make copies or replica of DNA, or molecular cloning to assemble DNA molecules or it could be MS Mass Spectrometry to sort ions based on their mass to charge ratio.
All this was possible when two of the solid streams of science with biological knowledge and technological pinch with engineering standards was invented in the form of biotechnology. Biotechnology has now become a very renowned course as the importance we see in today’s world is enriched society for reducing infections and coming up with alternatives for complicated treatments. Biotechnology has many benefits and one among them is medical evolution and different methods of treatment and it effectively and efficiently used natural resources.
The aspiring candidates who want to take up Biotechnology Engineering can attend a list of entrance exams which are conducted on national, state and university level. Some of the few top entrance exams for B.Tech Biotech which are commonly attended by many students are:
And also, we have private universities which conduct their own entrance exams due to the constant competition amongst the students as the colleges are highly notable and reputed. Such colleges accept the scores of both the national level entrance exam and also their own entrance exams marks as both are considered to be viable for admissions. Admissions for NIT's, IIT's is done only through the national level exams like JEE mains and advanced. The student has to qualify the mains and then write advanced for further process.
For those candidates who want to pursue M. Tech in biotechnology need to attend the GATE exam for admissions in best colleges. For better career opportunities a candidate needs to pursue their higher education. B.Tech Biotech Engineering Direct Admission: B.Tech Biotech engineering direct admission is possible based on merits and if the students couldn't qualify or appear for entrance exam can get the admission through Management Quota or NRI Quota.

The growth of Biotechnology has been extensive in the field of engineering. The stream of biotechnology is quite innovative and it is an important element of its kind when it comes to medicine, treatment and a variety of other specific fields. It is one of the fastest growing fields which has been revolutionizing since modernization of the world. No wonders science and technology being together have done wonders to the lives of people or in the field of technological trends. Biotechnology has been trending in environment, medicine, industry, and oceanology with marine.
Many research programs have been commenced and are diversified onto a larger extent to come up with technologies in many fields such as mathematics, applied sciences, engineering genetics and agriculture. B.Tech Biotechnology Engineering is a rapid growing field and especially for young and budding minds with creative skills and innovative ideas will be a promising field for an enhancing career.
Students can seek jobs in both public and private sector. The demand for biological experts has been growing day by day with the evolution in technological trends. Mostly pharmaceutical companies have been offering jobs to biotechnology engineering and now the doors have escalated to many other industries as well. Biotechnology has scope in India as well as abroad. Biotech engineers study the cause of the disease, find out the cure of it by inventing medicines which are evaluated with the principles of science and technology.
