Overview

B.Sc Food Processing & Technology / Bachelor of Science in Food Processing Technology is a three-year undergraduate course where the one who opts for it will learn about the food processing techniques and the latest technologies behind it. The main aim of Food Processing Technology is to provide knowledge that deals with the techniques and principles involved in the processing and preserving the food substances. In this course, one will learn the set of methods and techniques which will be used to transform raw ingredients into food or to transform food into other forms which will be used for consumption by humans or animals in the home and the food processing industry.

In the duration of six semesters, the course covers various subjects like Fruit & Vegetable Processing Technology, Food Dehydration Technology, Dairy Technology, Cereals & Pulses Technology, Food Chemistry, Milling & Bakery Technology, Sugar & Confectionery Technology, Food Additives, Food Refrigeration & Cold Storage Construction, Food Packaging Technology, and Processing of Food Commodities, etc.
